Today, a new inflight catering facility operated by TAMAM (Taasiyot Mazon Matosim), a member of the EL AL Group, was inaugurated at Ben Gurion Airport. The facility is among the most advanced in the world and is the largest of its kind in the field of kosher inflight catering.
The new facility was established with an investment of hundreds of millions of shekels and spans approximately 14,000 square meters, nearly twice the size of the previous facility. It features advanced infrastructure that meets global standards and offers a daily production capacity of approximately 50,000 meals, compared to around 30,000 meals at the former facility. The site integrates innovative technological systems that enable precise management of preparation processes, stringent quality control and the maintenance of a high culinary standard.
The establishment of the new facility represents a significant strategic move for EL AL, as part of the company’s ongoing investment in infrastructure and the enhancement of the customer experience. The new site replaces a facility that operated for several decades and enables both TAMAM and EL AL to continue growing, expand their activities and adapt to the evolving demands of the industry. The transition to full operational activity at the new facility is expected to take place gradually over the coming months.
The new facility is expected to support the expansion of the range of meals served on EL AL flights, improve product quality and help create a meticulous service experience for EL AL passengers.

Oz Radomsky, CEO of TAMAM:
“The move to the new facility represents a significant leap forward for TAMAM. This is one of the most advanced facilities in the world, combining cutting-edge production technologies with the many years of expertise of our people. The facility will allow us to increase operational volumes, improve operational efficiency and continue providing our customers with a product of the highest quality.”
Levy Halevy, CEO of EL AL:
“We continue to invest consistently and meaningfully in improving the flight experience, with the understanding that every component of the customer journey is part of the overall experience. TAMAM’s new facility enables us to raise the culinary standard for EL AL passengers, expand our operational capabilities and support EL AL’s growth for years to come.”
Kenny Rozenberg, Controlling Shareholder of EL AL:
“The inauguration of the world’s largest kosher food facility is a meaningful moment for us, as an Israeli company and as those who believe in EL AL’s ability to continue leading. This investment reflects deep confidence in the company and its people and reinforces our commitment to continued growth and development. The new facility will enable the provision of kosher food of the highest standard to the international market as well.”
