4,000 Jewish Women Leaders Unite in New York for Chabad-Lubavitch Conference

BROOKLYN – The 35th annual International Conference of Chabad-Lubavitch Women Emissaries (Kinus Hashluchos) is underway, gathering 4,000 Jewish women leaders from over 100 countries. The event provides an opportunity for these dedicated emissaries to connect, recharge, and strengthen their roles within Jewish communities worldwide.

The conference, which runs through February 23, serves as a tribute to the legacy of Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneerson, of righteous memory, the esteemed wife of the Lubavitcher Rebbe. Timed to coincide with her yahrzeit on 22 Shevat, the event honors her devotion to Jewish education and community building.

Strength in Unity Amid Global Challenges

This year’s theme, connection, highlights the shared commitment of Chabad emissaries across the globe. From war-torn regions to communities facing natural disasters, these women stand at the forefront of Jewish outreach, providing essential support and guidance.

Inspiration and Learning

The Kinus offers a packed schedule of workshops and panel discussions, covering pressing issues such as antisemitism, mental health, and community engagement. Attendees will also visit the Ohel, the Rebbe’s resting place, to pray and seek inspiration.

The opening session, titled Igniting the Flame, featured moving testimonials from shluchos who have dedicated their lives to Jewish outreach. A tribute was also paid to Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, the longtime chairman of the Kinus, whose dedication to supporting emissaries worldwide continues to be felt.

A highlight of the conference will be the grand gala banquet on February 23 at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center. The event will include a roll call of emissaries representing Jewish communities in all 50 U.S. states and over 100 countries. Among the keynote speakers will be Elisheva Martinetti, a Chabad emissary in Italy, and Tzipi Hotovely, Israel’s ambassador to the United Kingdom.

A Sisterhood Like No Other

For many attendees, the Kinus is more than just a conference—it is a lifeline. “This sisterhood can’t be compared to anything,” reflects one participant. “We draw strength from each other, knowing that wherever we are, we are part of something greater.”

As the conference continues, these women will return to their respective communities energized and inspired, ready to continue their sacred mission of strengthening Jewish life worldwide.
